Galileo Maritime Academy is a professional crew training facility located in Thailand at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina and is the only such training facility in Asia Pacific accredited by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency of the UK Department for Transport (MCA).
The Superyacht Career Entry Course
Galileo provides the first step for those looking to begin a career as a superyacht crew, while also offering basic STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping), advanced and refresher courses for professional seafarers already engaged in the superyacht and commercial maritime industries.
In addition to the STCW certification, the Superyacht Career Entry Course gives the opportunity to specialise in one or two of the four entry level proficiencies for career entry positions:
- Deckhand
- Steward/stewardess
- Chef
- Engineer
