Rachel Schofield

Facilitator, Broadcaster & Coach

Rachel Schofield has made a career out of being curious. She spent 20 years as a journalist, reporting and presenting for the BBC, before deciding she'd interviewed quite enough politicians for one lifetime and retrained as a personal development coach (which allows her to continue to be nosey and ask powerful questions, just with nicer people). Her book, "The Career Change Guide - Five Steps to Finding your Dream Job", is published by Penguin.

She holds qualifications from the Coaching Academy, Firework Career Coaching and the ICF. Alongside her career development coaching, Rachel is a LinkedIn trainer and communication skills expert.

About Careers can change

The Careers can change campaign is a group of independent organisations that have come together to help inspire people to see that careers can change successfully. Convened by longer lives think tank, Phoenix Insights, the campaign works with a range of experts and organisations including 20 First, Brave Starts, Careershifters, Career Returners, Enterprise Nation, Now Teach, Postcards from Midlife and the Learning & Work Institute.

Work plays a significant role in helping people secure a life of possibilities. What we need and want from work changes throughout our lives. Whether reassessing your existing role, upskilling for new opportunities, or exploring something completely different; we aim to help people to take more control of their careers whether making small steps or big shifts.
